This story is about a girl called Mary who wants to buy new shoes because she likes the bouncy ones. Dad tells her to save up because they are too expensive.

Mary's mum goes to work and is stuck in alot of traffic that the cars were bumper to bumper. She saves money on petrol because the other cars pushed her along. She buys Mary her new bouncy shoes.

Mary's mum tells Mary to keep a secret on what happened to her mum. But Mary tells Anne her best friend who tells her sister. Her sister tells others in the playground. The secret is spread to everyone. The next morning everyone comes to see the traffic which causes more problems.

The best part of the book was when people were telling the secret to others and not keeping the secret.

I did not really enjoy this book because the story was not very interesting, the author was not very imaginative and it was a very short story.

There was a boy called Billy,he saw a sweet shop but the next day it changed into a window company.In the company there was a monkey,pelly and a giraffe.They were called the ladderless window cleaning company. One day a duke's chowfer went to the window cleaning company and said " My duke needs a window cleaning company to clean his windows he has not cleaned his windows for fourty years!!". So off they went to the dukes house.The dukes house looked like Buckinghum Palace.
The giraffe had a magical power with her neck that grew lomnger and longer.The pelicans job was the bucket and the monkey was the cleaner.They started work.The giraffe saw a burgular in the palace stealing the jewels.The pelican caught the burgular inside his beak.The duke said to the giraffe , pelican and monkey "as a reward gifarre can eat the pink purple tree, mokey can have the walnut tree and pelican can have salmon from the river, as for you Billy you can have what ever wish you want." Billy decided to build back the old sweet shop.

I like Roald Dahl imagination in the story. Roald Dahl had good thinking about the animals that he chose in the story.He was thinking about what animal could be a ladder so he chose a giraffe.He wanted a animal that could be a good bucket so he chose a pelican because it has a big beak.
It would be fun to be Billy because i could have a ride in a pelicans beak and go on a giraafes back.
My favorite character is monkey becease he sings funny songs.

this is the story of a very small and very hungry caterpillar.he eats one apple on Monday,two pears on Tuesday,three plums on Wednesday,four strawberries on Thursday,five oranges on Friday,and on Saturday he has an enormous feast.the caterpillar grows from a small egg to a beautiful butterfly and at the same time manages to nibble his way through the pages of the book!

This book is about Max and his pet Lenny who is a anteater. They are best friends. The problem is that Lenny eats ants.

Firstly he eats Julie's pet ant farm and breaks the glass at the school pet day.
Secondly he licks and Zapps the fly off the Vicars nose who had come for tea. The tea falls all over the Vicars legs.

Both times Max and Lenny get into trouble.
Max's dad wants Lenny to go back to the Zoo.
At the end Lenny gets to stay because he stops the burglar from getting away.

My favourite part of the story was when Lenny beats up the burglar and sits on him.
My favourite character is Lenny the anteater because he kisses everyone.

This was a funny book to read.

There was a captain called Captain BlueBeard.He had two children their names were
Molly and Jim.Their ship was called Saucy Sally.Their enemy was Captain Swagg.Captain Swagg wanted to steal the treasure map from Captain BlueBeard.At night Captain Swagg stole the map.But Jim made a copy of the map.Captain Bluebeard was saved by Jim.They followed the map to the treasure, when they were sailing they saw an island.The island was called Cut Throat Island.So they stopped sailing and went on the island.Captain Swagg was already there, he had the treasure but the treaure was fake he didnt know it was fake. He escaped with the treasure.Then Captain Bluebeard spotted a X on the trees and started digging there.When he finished he found the real treasure and became rich.

My favorite character is Captain Bluebeard because he is the captain and it would be fun to be a captain.I like the part in the story when Captain Bluebeard kicks Swagg off the ship.

One scary person was very very evil, he lived in a haunted house.
Which had lots of mouse.

He was riding his horse all night long, until midnight.
He is the Highway man who wore tight clothes with a French hat and had a sword with Jills and liked to fight.

The Highway man fell in love with Bess and she loved him too.He wanted to save her from her dad who beat her for no reason.

He knocked on her window and the door was locked, he whispered "I will save you, one kiss my boney sweetheart, I will be back in the the morning."

But he did not arrive until night time and saw Bess was dead.
He screamed with his sword and laid in the bed.

The highway gets killed by the army and becomes a ghost and meets his love Bess who is alos a ghost.

The Highway man crashed over the bumpy, dusty, stony rocks. The slippery horses feet slided with a big CRASH!!!!!! Trip trap, trip trap....he whistled a lovely tune as a secret code for Bess. His girlfriend was the landlord's black-eyed daughter called Bess. Bess was madly in love and desperate to see him.
In the spooky old horse park, it was empty but then an old crooked man called Tim lazed deep in the messy hay.He had pig's swill with mustard and ketchup as his hair!! His clothes were all ragged and his trousers had patches and he wore crumbly sandals upon his feet.
When the Highway man met his love, he crouched down and said..."Marry me my love, oh please sweetheart, I love you". Then off he went to get some money.
Tim was spying on them, he looked as dumb as a dog. He marched to some soldiers, who came up to the old inn door. They grabbed Bess and tied her up to a bed, then they hid. Then the Highway man skidded up to Bess and said " Bess". Suddenly to warn the Highway man, Bess shot herself ....BANG!! It was too late.
The Highway man charged at the soldiers but sadly they shot at him and they both died.
Their beautiful spirits floated away out of their bodies.

Mr. Happy finds a hobby

This story is all about Mr Happy and Mr Grumble. They had to find a hobby for Mr Grumble because he was not happy and grumbled all the time.

In the story Mr Happy and Mr Grumble meet lots of people with different hobbies. But Mr Grumble does not like any of them.

My favourite character was Mr Rush because he likes driving fast cars.

At the end of the book, Mr Happy finds a hobby for Mr Grumble. It was fishing because he grumbles when he is fishing.

This was a fun book to read.

The Witches by ROALD DAHL.

This story is about a little boy.He lived with his parents.Every chrismas he went to his grandmas house in Norway.Grandma told him stories about witches.She told him that witches have wigs,bold heads and blue spit.One chrismas the boys parets died in a car crash he survived.He had to live with his grandma.A man in a black suite said" you need to go to England."So they flew back .Grandma told the boy there are witches in England.Grandma wantedto go to Norway in the summer.But she was ill.So they stayed in a hotel.There was a meeting with the RSPCC.They were actully witches they wanted to wipe out the children in the world ,with a special formula called 86 mousemaker formula.The grand high witch gave the formula to the boy and he changed into a mouse.Grandma and the boy had a plan,it was to put the formula in the witches soup, and then they will turn the witches into mice. The witches turned into mice and there was no witches in England.Grandma and the boy mouse went back to norway happily.

This is the longest story that I have read.I enjoyed it because it was imagntive.I like the Grand High witch because she made the formula.I like the part when
the witches change into mice.

Hansel and Gretel by Gaby Goldsack

In the story there was a girl called Gretel and a boy caller Hansel. They were very poor and they lived with their dad and Stepmother. The stepmother told the father to leave the children in the woods. They saw a house made of sweets and went inside. There was a witch and she was ugly. She locked Hansel in a cage, because she wanted to eat him up. The witch looked into the hot cooking pot and Gretel pushed her in "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh" she shouted out loud. They then ran all the way home to their daddy.

I liked the book because it had a happy ending and the two baddies went away.

Eco-Wolf and the Three Pigs

I read this book in the holidays and I got it from the library. The story is about a wolf who is eco-friendly and there is three bad pigs called Megadad, Greedypig and Grabbit. The pigs want to build homes on the beautiful countrside and Eco-wolf is furiuos. He blows their homes with his huff and puff! Eco-wolf is angry and sad because the three bad pigs are spoiling the land. In the end, Eco-wolf makes the three bad pigs plant more trees and then they leave, he stops them from destroying the land and everyone is happy. I enjoyed this story because it made me laugh and it was funny. It was good because the wolf was actually the good character and the three pigs were bad, that is why I liked it and the pigs are dressed funny like gangsters!

There was a hairy dog and he was going to the park. He saw another dog who had orange fur. And he tried to get out of the chain but he could not get out off it so he stoped pulling it. There was a spotted dog and a scary cat. The cat scared the dogs away. You can read the rest of the book.

Mr Strong and the flood.

Mr Strong was unbelievably strong, because he is so strong he sometimes forgets his own strength. It was raining and Mr Strong got his boots and he put his boots on and because he was so strong his foot broke his boots. Then he went outside and got his umbrella and when he got his umbrella it broke. Then he went back inside when he opened the handle the handle broke. Mr Strong was feeling sad because everything he touched broke. Then he got new boots and a new umbrella.
